Vere's Thoughts
I made Jason write Vere's thoughts out (prior to having his mind taken over by fate lady) cause i'm really starting to miss the rp world. Gotta think of my next move(s) before i can get back into it.
*****
Vere sat in the corner of the Fate ladies small abode, thoughts rushing through his head in a blur. So much had happened in the last few days and Vere wasn’t quite sure what to do with himself.
Firstly, he thought of his loyalty to Kuja, whose request he now had to fulfil. How would Vere defeat these gods and what would he have to give to this fate lady to make it possible.
His next thought was how to get Kuja back, and what to do with him after that. Would he hate Kuja for this, or still care for him? The question was hard, for his relationship with Kuja was normally tenuous at best, though they seemed to care for each other greatly some of the time.
His thoughts then moved on to the fate lady, who also had a vested interest in Vere. It seemed she wanted him for herself, just as Kuja had, and for a moment, the thought crossed Vere’s mind that perhaps the two were one and the same. It seemed a bit too over the top for Kuja, however, so Vere dismissed the thought. Still, even if he managed to complete Kuja’s request and even bring Kuja back, would he become indentured or enslaved by the fate lady?
Vere’s last thought, and the most confusing was what did he want? Perhaps spending his time with the fate lady would be a suitable punishment for Kuja, and it would allow Vere to work out exactly what Kuja actually thought of him. Would he miss Vere? Would he come looking for him? Would he bargain again with the fate lady to get Vere back? As well, he wondered if the fate lady herself were worse to be around than Kuja.
At least Kuja had a reason to be what he was, Vere was sure of it, and he knew deep down that Kuja knew what the right thing to do was and wanted to do it, but did this lady of fate? She, it seemed, just wished to trifle with the affairs of humans and others for absolutely no reason than for her own amusement, and while this was similar to Kuja, it didn’t seem to have the underlying guilt that Vere believed weighed on Kuja’s soul.
Again, while the decisions would be Vere’s to make, it would no doubt be him who would face the greatest trials and tribulations, rather than these ignoble magical deities.
